JOURNAL OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SCIENCES:

“THE ITALIAN JOURNAL FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY HEALTH AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT” 

Journal of Health and Social Sciences (p-ISSN 2499-2240 e-ISSN 2499-5886) (subtitle: The Italian Journal for Interdisciplinary Health and Social Development) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that is published 4 times per year in March, June, September and December.

This is the scientific journal of the SIPISS (Italian Society for Psychotherapy, Interdisciplinary Health and Social Development).

Sipiss is a scientific association for the research in medicine, psychology, and medical sociology. We are a network of professional and amateur scientists from diverse disciplines that provides support and a forum for international research and education in public health.

Since 2010, SIPISS has existed for the purpose of promoting scientific research and disseminating scientific knowledge. Our annual meetings in Milan (Italy) provide an opportunity to share recent findings and foster collaborative interactions. In 2020 SIPISS also founded a new association: AIPMeL (Italian Association of Psychology and Occupational Medicine).

The SIPISS, with Edizioni FS Publishers, publishes four issues of the Italian Journal for Interdisciplinary Health and Social Development each year. A peer reviewed journal, Journal of Health and Social Sciences is an outlet for original papers, commentaries, opinions and reviews on wide-ranging medical sciences. Areas of interest include any aspect of health from a wide range of interdisciplinary medical sciences converging in the field of public health. The journal aspires to provide interdisciplinary exchange of views of scientists from around the world aimed at the growth of modern man for the social development, where the focus is the “health” by WHO.  “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infermity” (WHO Constitution).

The official language of the Journal is English. Journal of Health and Social Sciences publishes original articles, reviews, opinions, commentaries, letters to editor, case reports and other types of articles.

The target reader population are psychologists, medical sociologists and medical doctors. As a full open access journal, all content is freely available.

Journal of Health and Social Sciences has an acceptance rate of less than 10%. The “average” time between submission and final decision is 15 days and the average time between acceptance and advance online publication is 30 days.

The cite score of the Journal of Health and Social Sciences on Scopus is 3.5 in october 2023.
